- Lastly, hiking the Pacific Crest Trail is not a vacation or trip, it’s a lifestyle. Hiking on the trail constantly reminds me how to live life, to the fullest.
It’s not about the progress and not about what others think a thru-hike/life should be. Embrace the highs and lows. Make decisions that’s best for you: take time and go on the adventures that inspires you, stay in towns you enjoy, and most of all, make good friends.
